The students worked on creating a solid paragraph this week:  bold beginning, topic sentence, mighty middle, & excellent ending.  They were shown several examples along the way.  Next, the students were given a task to write a paragraph discussing the responsibilities of a good citizen and trying to relate that to the Dog Poop Initiative book or the Kid President pep talk.  The students were given an extra 30 minutes to work on this and had the opportunity to take it to lunch as well.  They’ve had 3 days to write this 1 paragraph!  Some students did not finish.  If your child did not finish this paragraph, please have him/her finish it this weekend and turn it in Monday morning!  🙂
