Note: This paper will also go home in Thursday folders tomorrow. Students in Mrs. Parker/Walstead’s class will complete this next week. Students in Mrs. Hester/Sender’s class will complete the lab the first week of September during their science rotations.

Donations Needed!!!

We will be doing a plate boundaries lab in science class and we need some food donations.

We need:

• Chocolate frosting — 3 cans per class

• Graham crackers – 2 boxes per class

• Spoons

• Chocolate chip cookies (hard) – 3 packages per class

• Chocolate chip cookies (soft) – 2 packages per class

Each group will be making plate models for convergent, divergent and transform boundaries. We will create examples of what happens at these boundaries over oceanic and continental crusts. This is a fun food activity that the students really enjoy! I’ll also be contacting parents for help with this activity. If you are available on Thursday of next week (Parker’s class) and the week of September 3^rd (Hester’s class) please let me know.
